The Disaster Risk Management Division (DRMD) attended the induction session organised by the Red Cross Society of Seychelles (RCSS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education for the relaunching of the Red Cross Clubs in all 39 primary and secondary schools in Seychelles. The session was held yesterday, Thursday 5th September 2024, at Seychelles Institute of Teacher Education (SITE).
Therefore, once revamped members of the Red Cross Clubs will receive First Aid Training, gain a deeper understanding of humanitarian work and its importance and participate in sensitisation programmes promoting disaster preparedness and disaster risk reduction, among other activities.
Representing the Division were Ms. Nissa Beauchamp, Humanitarian Affairs, Recovery and Enforcement (HARE) unit and Ms. Juliette Jeanny, Education, Research and Information (ERI) unit.
