Today, Friday 25th April 2025, the Disaster Risk Management Division (DRMD) has officially opened the shipment of specialised stabilisation equipment purchased from the Swiss company, Gasser Felstechnik.
These advanced equipment will be utilised throughout the St. Louis Hill Stabilisation Project to stabilised, aiming to strengthen the identified project sites to prevent and mitigate the risks of future landslides and rocfalls.
Therefore, this milestone marks a significant step towards the development of national disaster risk mitigation and resilience initiatives in Seychelles. The equipment and the technical knowledge exchange through this collaboration will enhance the capacity of disaster preparedness and mitigation initiatives in Seyhchelles.
