In an effort to strengthen communication strategies and the management of misinformation and disinformation, the Disaster Risk Management Division partakes in a two-day workshop on Tuesday, 4th, and Wednesday, 5th February 2025, at the Eden Bleu Hotel.
Organised by the British High Commission in partnership with the Government Communication Service (GCS), the UK’s professional body for public service communicators. , the workshop aimed at exploring best practices in government communication, focusing on the importance of communication in relevance to the targeted audience.
Ms. Femi Fagunwa and Ms. Nina Peronius, facilitators of the workshop, shared insights on the latest trends and technologies in government communication and how government communication officials can collaborate across sectors, through the various priority areas listed in the Seychelles National Strategic Development Plan.
Overall, the workshop serves as a critical opportunity for the Disaster Risk Management Division and other government communicators to build stronger networks, share knowledge, and adopt a more proactive stance in managing communication during crises or periods of uncertainty.
